There is an awful lot to be positive about right about now… The UK has vaccinated 30M+ people with 4m+ having had both vaccines, we are coming out of our enforced national hibernation, the clocks have gone forward with night now falling at 7:30pm+, the weather is improving and the economy after a dreadful spring 2020 has weathered this storm better than was initially expected. This last aspect we believe, is both an effect of the government furlough program and also just as importantly, the business practice swing enabling work from anywhere (WFA) which has literally kept many cash registers ringing. All in all… the outlook here in the UK is pretty rosy right now.
I am also pleased to say that your chosen IT solutions provider has some very important announcements to make that align to the positivity we see ahead. We believe these announcements to be the most important made since the organisation was established and started trading back in 1988!
Hopefully this bold statement will intrigue you enough to view the following sections which cover our identity, industry accreditations and key initiatives.
We are here to serve you and if you wish to discuss any aspect of this newsletter then please reach out to your account manager or use the email or instant message function on our website and we will respond to your query.

Nathan Collins
The Return of Pavilion
When the company was established it was first known as Pavilion Computing, operating from an office in Brighton and serving mainly local customers. It spotted the IT trend from centralised mini / mainframe computers to decentralised IT systems, personal microcomputers and associated networks. At this time we chose to start supplying, implementing and supporting these systems and in doing so grew very quickly. In 2002 a decision was made to rebrand to PAV I.T. Services believing it highlighted our broader national customer base.
So… What is changing?
We are and will continue to be PAV, however in a nod to our forward thinking origins and recognition of our brand strength have decided to re adopt the Pavilion brand.
The conception of Pavilion Computers was to address IT transformation which the advent of the first 8088 / 8086 microprocessors were making possible in the late 80s. This transformation brought process and application power to all organisations of any size and the result was a change to business practices on an unprecedented scale and the adjustment occurred in a timeframe never experienced before. My team and I are seeing similar seismic changes stemming from #COVID19 and specifically Work from anywhere (WFA) with all of the associated IT decisions affecting security / access / communications etc… We therefore feel that there has never been a better time for PAV to reconnect with our roots and the Pavilion brand.
Today as you visit our website you will see the familiar PAV logo but you will note that everything about our website is fresh. Our rebranding is not just skin deep and we have built out our solution sets, customer requirements, customer testimonials and service offerings pages. I would recommend that you all take a fresh look today. Maybe we can serve you as our customer in new / innovative ways?
People work with and buy from people they trust… this is human nature. With the isolation that has followed “stay at home” we feel that this trust element in trading relationships is now more important than ever before. I would like to offer you all a glimpse into our culture and our people that are here to support you. Please review our new “About us” page: https://www.pav.co.uk/about-us/
Major announcement on our Microsoft status and route to market
We are pleased to announce that we have now attained 3 Gold accreditations, 2 silver accreditations and have been accepted to become a Tier 1 Cloud Services Provider (CSP) by Microsoft. We are also rolling out a new subscription management platform which will allow us to package Microsoft and other SaaS offerings as well as our own homegrown goods and services. What is more, we will now be able to provide all customers with access to the management platform and in due course the ability to self-manage your own licensing and subscriptions directly.
Many of our customers are investing in #microsoft as never before and we are highlighting specific Microsoft solutions in a brand new #microsoft ‘microsite’ which is available here: https://www.pav.co.uk/microsoft/. This site is focused entirely on content, insights, news, testimonials, case studies and blogs all of which create awareness around the Microsoft ecosystem that customers are adopting widely. The site will be dynamic and we will add content as we go so please check in regularly.
To help with our technical relevance and at the time of writing our current list of Microsoft accreditations are as follows:
- Cloud Productivity
- Data Platform
- Windows and Devices
- Collaboration and Content
- Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions
Achieving the Microsoft Direct CSP status is a very big deal for PAV and means we have reached both the level of trade and number of transacting customers, as well as built the skills and depth needed to deliver Microsoft ecosystem solutions.
Pavilion Service Credits
PAV have a comprehensive IT services portfolio covering IT support, hosting, data management, cloud solutions and application services. These services meet many of our customers day to day general IT support requirements but there are occasions when customers can benefit from specialisation to achieve a specific outcome, for example penetration testing or structured cabling. Over the years we have developed a trusted network of third party organisations to deliver supplementary services that solve many of these specific, specialist requirements.
We’ve made consuming these services simple for customers by introducing Pavilion Service Credits, with each service pre-scoped and given a Service Credit value. To further simplify this Service Credits have a nominal value of £100, making it easy to forecast and understand spend.
When buying a service from this catalogue, you as a customer can be confident that the service will be delivered professionally with a predictable scope, outcome and cost.
The supporting suppliers by service type are as follows:

The Reference Program
https://www.pav.co.uk/customer-referral/
At this time last year we released a reference program to help customers finance their Christmas festivities. This year and specifically in light of #COVID restrictions, we would like to revise this program and offer our customers two opportunities to secure funding for virtual departmental activities:
- If you are prepared to refer PAV into another company where you have links to the IT department and sponsor us to meet with that customer then we will agree to reduce your next PAV invoice by £100
- If you are prepared to be a PAV case study / reference then we would also agree to reduce your next PAV invoice by £100
Both of the above will effectively provide your business with a credit that can used to fund a COVID compliant social gathering or virtual team meeting! Either of these activities welcome right now given the isolation that COVID has created within the modern workplace. Anything that can strengthen bonds between colleagues is essential right now.
If you are interested then all you have to do is register your interest using this link to our web form and a member of the PAV team will make contact to discuss this referral further. Terms & Conditions apply and are available on the registration page.
