With Windows 7 nearing end of life on January 14th 2020, Woodroyd Nursery in Bradford chose to work with PAV i.t. Services to replace their existing legacy hardware and migrate their email away from an on-premise exchange environment to Microsoft Office 365 cloud.
Launched in July 22, 2009, Windows 7 operating system is now over a decade old, recent reports from Netmarketshare suggest that Windows 7 is still being used on 39% of all PCs.
The need to upgrade to Windows 10 is quickly becoming an urgent requirement for businesses fearful of being targeted by cyber criminals. When Windows 7 reaches end of support on January 14, 2020, computers will still function but Microsoft will no longer provide the following:
• Technical support for any issues
• Software updates
• Security updates or fixes
Leaving computers at greater risk from viruses and malware.
