The lazy days of summer 2020 are fast approaching.
Ordinarily each of us would be looking forward to our upcoming retreat to distant lands with our families / friends for exploration, relaxation or excitement… some of us will manage all 3; kudos if you do! However, the odd air bridge aside, this year is different and everything has changed. The effects of #COVID19 have had profound implications on all aspects of business, commerce, education, transportation and recreation making summer 2020 very different. It isn’t just how we take our recreation that has changed either!
I am sure each of you as PAV customers have experienced very similar business challenges pertaining to the provision of information technology in an era where social distancing within the workplace is a requirement and the availability of hand sanitizer, installation of plastic screens and COVID detecting thermal imaging cameras are seen on an equal par with mobiles, laptops, WiFi’s etc…
Here at PAV, the effect on our organisation was tempered as in the prior year we had concluded our transformation from on premise and disparate / loosely coupled technologies to our unified cloud platform. This stood us in great stead to weather the crisis that profoundly affected many of our customers. We know this as our support desk was seeing 160% increase in call volumes at the end of March and into April with the consistent theme being employee productivity when working remotely from their homes and they were grappling with their technology. PAV had already delivered our #modernworkplace utilising key cloud technologies for telephony, messaging, collaboration, security, ERP, CRM and we had integrated them all to effectively support collaboration. The guiding ethos we had was the provision of tools to our employees using the Martini Rosso slogan from the hugely successful TV advertising campaigns back in the 70s and 80s of “anytime, anyplace, anywhere”. If you just had a shot of nostalgia, please feel free to revisit these commercials here (after reviewing the rest of this newsletter!): WATCH HERE
The lessons that we have learnt through our own organisational changes have lead us to redefine our message to you going forward. Technology is meaningless to you unless it drives a business need. To this end, we have focused our service delivery and sales organisation on just three PAV solutions. They are simply Modern workplace, data and governance and communication and collaboration. You can find more information on our turnkey solutions that we can deliver, support and have customer testimonials and case studies HERE.
As all businesses start to ramp up / normalise, we’ve got some nicely timed articles on how to save IT time, resource as well as your business money! We will be adding more testimonials and case studies as we deliver our solutions to our customers which we will inform you of also. This month, we want to focus on our upcoming enablement schedule involving collaboration and modern workplace technologies and provide you with access to some of our past enablement recordings.
We hope you find the content valuable, and we’ll be in touch again soon.
Regards,
Nathan Collins – Sales & Marketing Director
